Brunch in Sacramento | Best Brunch Spots

For those of you who do not know, Sacramento is the Farm to Fork Capital of the United States, we are also known as the city of trees but that is another story to tell.  Being the Farm to Fork Capital, we are lucky enough to have so many great food options with tons of local and seasonal produce available at our fingertips. I love the food here so much and ask for tons of recommendations that I started out a draft of restaurants to eat in Sacramento and let me tell you, it was too hard to combine so many great restaurants into one post for Sacramento, CA.  So here I am again attempting to do this, but instead, I will be separating them into different categories. So here are my favorite spots for Brunch in Sacramento.

Brunch in Sacramento

The Waffle Experience

The Waffle Experience – Innovative Brunch Spot in Sacramento

Address: 4391 Gateway Park Blvd #650, Sacramento, CA 95834

This place is amazing and has won some awards at the California State Fair.  They offer all types of dishes served with waffles, some waffles savory like pictures above or sweet waffles covered with Nutella, bananas or whipped cream.  They make waffle sandwiches and eggs benedict placed on a waffle.  This is a must-try restaurant.

[one-half-first]Iron Horse Tavern | Brunch in Sacramento[/one-half-first][one-half]Iron Horse Tavern[/one-half]

Iron Horse Tavern – Sacramento’s Favorite Brunch Spot

Address: 1800 15th Street, Sacramento 95811

Now this place is great for brunch but also great for lunch and dinner too.  I love the eggs benedict here because instead of using a traditional English egg muffin they used a hashbrown pressed in a waffle iron giving it great flavor and a crunch with your sauce and eggs.  Be sure to order bottomless mimosas to pair. Oh and a must-have is their mac and cheese trio along with their ahi poke nachos!! Those nachos are amazing, especially if you love raw fish.

Tower Cafe

Address: 1518 Broadway, Sacramento, CA 95818

Tower Cafe is probably one of the most classic restaurants in Sacramento.  They are pretty much a great place to eat at any time of the day, however, their brunch is probably the local favorites. They have tons of gorgeous desserts visible in their glass case and a beautifully landscaped outdoor patio area. I also suggest you try their famous french toast.

[one-half-first]Firestone Public House[/one-half-first][one-half]Firestone Public House | Brunch in Sacramento[/one-half]

Firestone Public House

Address: 1132 16th Street, Sacramento, CA 95814

Firestone is owned by the same person that owns Iron Horse, however, the foods are fairly different.  They are just as delicious as Iron Horse but different. This location is great for Sundays brunch for those who want to watch the game but enjoy breakfast or brunch and can enjoy a cold drink afterward at the bar to watch the game. Firestone also offers bottomless mimosas as well!

Fox and Goose Public House

Address: 1001 R Street, Sacramento, CA 95811

Fox and Goose has a lot of charm and is a British pub sort of style.  But on a serious note,  their eggs benedict is delicious! Their hollandaise sauce is a bit thicker than the normal sauce but it has so much flavor.

Pizza Rock – Great Brunch in Sacramento for Mimosas

Address: 1020 K Street, Sacramento, CA 95814

Now if you want to take a different approach to brunch, try brunch pizza at Pizza Rock! Lol by now, you must understand that bottomless mimosas are almost a requirement for me for Brunch, haha and thankfully Pizza Rock pulls through on this.  They have great pizza selections and different flavor bottomless mimosas which are great.

Crepeville

Address: 1730 L St., Sacramento, CA 95814

If you love crepes, you must check out this place. I prefer savory crepes, but they have crepes of all kinds, sweet, savory, a little bit of both and more.  The options are endless here, I would suggest getting the Mexican Hot Chocolate as well.
Crepe at Farmers MarketFarmer's Market

Farmer’s Market on Saturday Mornings – Affordable place to get brunch in Sacramento

Address: On K St. and 20th St.

One of my favorite things to do is to take a stroll on Saturday mornings to get some local produce, fruits, and beautiful flowers.  Not only do they serve local produce, but they also have a separate area for food like croissants, bread, crepes, macarons, empanadas and more.  It is definitely worth checking out. I highly suggest getting the Crepes and he is usually in the red tent.

Easy on I

Address: 1725 I St, Sacramento, CA 95811

If you want American classics, Easy on I is a great location to get some classic brunch favorites. Unfortunately, they do not have bottomless mimosas as an option, but their food menu is pretty extensive. If you enjoy Happy Hour, be sure to also try their stuffed pepper. It’s literally one of my favorite dishes on the menu and sometimes you are able to order it on the weekends or during brunch.

Bacon and Butter – Well Known for Brunch in Sacramento

Address: 3839 J Street, Sacramento, CA 95816 or 5913 Broadway, Sacramento, CA 95820

Bacon and Butter is a well-known brunch spot in Sacramento. One of their popular dishes is the grilled cheese benedict. Their menus are often seasonal but they do have a few of their staple items that are sold all year long.  Almost every Sacramentan knows about this Brunch restaurant in Sacramento.

Orphan

Address: 3440 C St, Sacramento, CA 95816

This simple restaurant offers simple foods using simple flavors and ingredients. Their menu isn’t very large, however, they do a great job bringing classic favorites while offering some healthy choices.

  1. It makes me so happy to see Tower Cafe and Waffle Experience on a brunch list! I mean, I love Bacon and Butter and LowBrau brunches too, but I feel like Waffle Experience and Tower don’t always get the love they deserve! Pushkin’s (the restaurant) has a great brunch too!
