10 Tropical Destinations for the Winter Holidays

Ahhh the holidays, it mostly smells like fresh baked goods, large portioned meals, warm drinks, quality family time and the excitement of winter vacations.

For me, it used to mean spending time with family in cold destinations like Seoul, South Korea, Buffalo, NY or in my hometown in California (Yes it gets cold in Sacramento, no snow, but about 32 – 28 Degrees Fahrenheit). Now, I live where I have no family nearby which means more opportunities to travel to visit them and I have spent my last 6 winter holidays visiting tropical destinations (mostly the Philippines since that is where my dad and family currently resides). I have given up my snowmen for sand people (haha get it? Hint: Star Wars Reference).

Now I have a bit of a bias when it comes to the Philippines as you know why, but it truly is a beautiful location and extremely affordable. There are so many beaches and islands to discover that will certainly take your breath away. I have learned that the more time I spend here, the more I need to discover. Visiting here for the holidays keep me refreshed and maintain my summer glow throughout the cold months.
