Adventures in Italy

So I spent about 8 days in Italy and was able to see more than I could ever expect.  In my adventures series, I always post images of my visits to cities, however, since this was a week long trip in Italy, I thought I would do a post on images I took from the whole country.  So enjoy the photos from my amazing adventures in Italy.

Colesseum, Arch of Constantine, Roma Forum, Gelato, The mouth of Truth, The Pantheon, The Trevi Fountain, Piazza Navona, Piazza della Repubblica, The Spanish Steps, and The Vatican City

Rome was probably one of my favorite locations to be in.  I loved seeing all of the history on every street you walked on.  The public transportation was awesome and it was cool to get lost in this city and just explore your surroundings.  I was so lucky to see all that I could see in the two days I was here.

Naples & Positano & Amalfi

Beaches, Hills, Beautiful Views, and amazing food

Positano and Amalfi are absolutely breathtaking.  If we didn’t stop to these locations, I don’t think I could ever say that I saw Italy.  Southern Italy was by far, more than I ever expected.  It was a beautiful drive with so much personality.  I am a huge water baby and love being anywhere near water, so being here made me feel relaxed like I was actually on vacation.

Florence & Pisa

The Leaning TowerThe Cattedrale di Santa Maria del Fiore, and Uffizi Museum

Florence was probably one of the most interesting cities to be in.  Like Rome, there was so much to see on every street.  They have tons of street artists, hand bags, flea markets and more.  This is a great location to get souvenirs and more.  There is a lot of art in this city.

Venice & Lido Island

Gondola ride, Piazza San Marco, Squid Ink Pasta, Seafood and Lido Island

Venice, a romantic city.  Venice was beautiful, but expensive compared to the other cities.  I loved the gondola ride and traveling by water bus (which gets extremely crowded).  This area has tons small walkways and bridges that run over the rivers.  Lido, a beautiful area has hot sandy beaches and warm water.  Lido is very calming and quiet compared to the loud sounds of the tourists in the city of Venice.
